After rising to fame for adopting over 50 children from the streets of Rio de Janeiro, Flordelis de Souza used her influence to start a church and launch successful careers as both a gospel singer and a congresswoman. In 1998, Flordelis married her adopted son who would go on to become a pastor in her church. But when he is found murdered, Flordelis faces a media frenzy accusing her of orchestrating a violent crime against the man she claimed to love.
